An Innovative Network Solution for Viewing Fluorographic and FEES Recordings

KayPENTAX is pleased to introduce endoPortal™, a streaming video portal hardware/software platform that works in conjunction with the Digital Swallowing Workstation. Clinicians can now view recorded fluorographic and videoendoscopic (FEES) exams in their offices, in clinic conference rooms, and throughout the hospital. endoPortal is a cost-effective complement to KayPENTAX digital recording technology (swallowing and stroboscopy systems) for viewing modified barium and FEES procedures remotely.

endoPortal hardware connects directly to a network switch (i.e., router) in an existing hospital LAN and interfaces to one, or multiple, KayPENTAX digital recording systems (e.g., KayPENTAX’s latest Digital Swallowing Workstation, Model 7200C). Once a procedure is recorded, the clinician can access the workstation’s exam database from any computer connected to the facility’s network with the innovative endoPortal software and play these exams in high-quality streaming video (MPEG-4 format). Alternatively, data can be uploaded for playback in the native DV format of the Digital Swallowing Workstation. DV format offers zero loss from the excellent image quality of the original exam as well as a superior editable format. In addition to video, clinicians can view stills and report information associated with the exam.

The combination of features in endoPortal and the Digital Swallowing Workstation provides the most versatile and feature-rich digital video acquisition and viewing solutions available to dysphagia clinicians.
